Today, TV9 Ravi Prakash has become household name with his maiden venture TV9. Though he is founder CEO of TV9, the promoter and 80% share holder is Srini Raju of Peepul capital (Brother-in-law of Ramalinga Raju). After proving his success as journalist in General Entertainment media in early 2000 years, he has started first 24 hours news channel in the state before ETV2. In the initial days everyone knows how he made money through sting operations and paid news. Today, he is in the position to open his own channel and dump TV9 in short span. TV9 success has lured many politicians to start a news channel even though it makes losses.
Now he is growing beyond TV9 and become a powerful force in state politics. With aggressive nature and campaigning he occupied top mindshare among viewers. He is enjoying same status as Ramoji Rao in the electronic media. In the recent public meeting he urged CM Rosaiah to spend more on publicity for government welfare programmes through TV channels openly, shows the impact of the media particularly his news channel. Similar to Ramoji, he expanded to other states and marking its influence over the regional politics through TV9 Kannada and Gujarathi success. The major difference between Ravi Prakash and Ramoji is, Ravi Prakash is the open minded attitude as he ready to support any government to accomplish his benefits. For the time being his focus is on the most developed states in the country, it is time for him to enter mineral rich states.
